Synopsis

Materi yang terkait dalam buku ini didukung dengan hasil riset sehingga diharapkan lebih memperluas wawasan tentang anatomi komparatif organ reproduksi jantan pada hewan cervidae berikut karakteristik sekundernya yang berupa ranggah (antler) dan anatomi makroskopis (histologi) dan fisiologi organ reproduksi jantan pada muncak secara khusus dan juga membandingkannya dengan sub spesies muncak dan beberapa spesies cervidae lainnya. Buku Anatomi dan Fisiologi Organ Reproduksi Jantan dan Ranggah Muncak (Cervidae) terbagi atas beberapa topik bahasan yaitu anatomi organ reproduksi jantan dan ranggah berikut fisiologinya. Anatomi dan fisiologi organ reproduksi jantan muncak dibahas dengan pendekatan secara anatomi komparatif sehingga membantu pembaca memahami mengenai anatomi anatomi dan fisiologi organ reproduksi jantan dan ranggah muncak (cervidae).

Author Biographies

Sri Wahyuni, Dosen Kedokteran Hewan Universitas Syiah Kuala

Dr. drh. Sri Wahyuni, M.Si., dilahirkan di Medan, 19 November 1969. Doktor di bidang Biologi Reproduksi lulusan Program Studi Biologi Reproduksi, Sekolah Pascasarjana Institut Pertanian Bogor tahun 2012. Penulis merupakan dosen pada Program Studi Pendidikan Dokter Hewan Fakultas Kedokteran Hewan Universitas Syiah Kuala (FKH USK), Banda Aceh dan bertugas di Laboratorium Anatomi Veteriner FKH USK sejak tahun 2003. Sebelum menjadi sebagai dosen di Fakultas Kedokteran Hewan, Universitas Syiah Kuala. Jenjang sarjana (S1) dan profesi Dokter Hewan diselesaikan dari FKH USK tahun 1993 dan 1994. Sebelum bertugas sebagai dosen, penulis bekerja di Kebun Binatang Medan (Medan Zoo) tahun 1994-2001. Setelah diterima sebagai dosen, penulis melanjutkan studi magister pada Program Studi Sains Veteriner SPs IPB dan lulus tahun 2008. Sebagai dosen, penulis mengajarkan beberapa mata kuliah, yaitu Anatomi Veteriner I, II, dan III, Etika Veteriner dan Animal Welfare, dan Perilaku Hewan pada PS Pendidikan Dokter Hewan (S1). Pada PS Kesehatan Masyarakat Veteriner (S2), penulis mengajarkan mata kuliah Proposal Tesis dan Biologi Molekuler. Selain itu di PS Kesehatan Hewan (D3) penulis mengajarkan Makro Anatomi, Ilmu Nutrisi Hewan, dan Kesejahteraan Hewan. Pada tahun 2008, penulis memperoleh gelar Pakar Anatomi Veteriner dari Perhimpunan Ahli Anatomi Indonesia (PAAI). Disamping mengajar, penulis juga menjabat Kepala Laboratorium Riset FKH USK (2012-2016) dan Kepala Laboratorium Anatomi (2016-2020). Berbagai karya tulis yang telah dihasilkan dapat ditemukan pada profil penulis (Sri Wahyuni) di Scopus (ID: 54421379100) dan Sinta (ID: 59618).

Gholib, Dosen Kedokteran Hewan Universitas Syiah Kuala

Dr. Gholib, SPt.,M.Si, lahir di Gresik, Jawa Timur, 21 Maret 1982. Sejak 2014 sebagai dosen di Fakultas Kedokteran Hewan, Universitas Syiah Kuala. Menyelesaikan Sekolah Dasar, MTs, dan SMA di Gresik dan Program Sarjana (S1), Magister (S2), dan Doktor(S3) di Institut Pertanian Bogor. Program Magister dan Doktor pada Biologi Reproduksi dan mengikuti pelatihan dan Program Sandwich di Departemen Biologi Reproduksi, German Primate Center, Leibniz Institute for Primate Research tahun 2009 dan 2013. Saat ini mata kuliah yang diampuh pada Fakultas Kedokteran Hewan di Program Studi Pendidikan Dokter Hewan (S1): Fisiologi Veteriner 1, Fisiologi Veteriner 2, Biostatistika, Perilaku Hewan, Ilmu Nutrisi Hewan, dan Metode Penelitian dan Rancangan Percobaan. Pada Program Studi Kesehatan Hewan (D3): Fisiologi Veteriner, Ilmu Tilik dan Perilaku Hewan, Ilmu Pakan dan Nutrisi Hewan. Pada program Studi Kesehatan Masyarakat Veteriner (S2): Biostatistika, Manajemen dan Teknologi Reproduksi Hewan, dan Metodologi Penelitian.
